The Salem HSA is a volunteer-led nonprofit that helps make so many of the programs, events, and experiences our students and families enjoy possible — from classroom enrichment and family events to community-building and school support.

And we can’t do it without YOU! ⭐

Whether you have an hour, a special skill, or simply want to get more involved, there’s a place for everyone. Join us at an HSA meeting, volunteer for an event, or find a committee that interests you.

Every little bit helps make Salem even better. Join the HSA now!

Meet more of your 2026-2027 HSA Board... 💙

Michelle Campbell, Sr. VP of Fundraising

Michelle is excited to return for another year as VP of Fundraising and to continue finding fun ways to support Salem and bring our Community together. She is mom to Gabby, a 3rd grader at Salem, and loves being involved in the Port community. When she’s not volunteering with the HSA, Michelle works full-time at Adobe, volunteers as a coach for PYA Girls Lacrosse, and spends plenty of time cheering Gabby on from the sidelines of one sport or another. She loves enjoying time with family and friends, traveling, spending time at the beach and tackling a good creative project. Michelle is looking forward to another great year of fun, fundraising, and making memories at Salem!

Emily Weinreb, Jr. VP of Fundraising

As VP of Fundraising, Emily is excited to help bring the Salem community together while raising funds to support the programs and experiences that make Salem such a special place. She is a mom of three, with a 2nd grader and a kindergartener at Salem, plus a 3-year-old who keeps everyone busy and entertained. Emily has a background in healthcare management, operations, and process improvement, and also works as a camp consultant, helping families navigate the exciting (and sometimes overwhelming!) world of summer camp. When she’s not juggling work, school activities, and life with three kids, Emily loves to travel, play tennis and mahjong, and take on a good creative project.

Megan Silverstein, VP of Communications

Megan joins the board as VP of Communications, bringing her professional communications background and enthusiasm for keeping Salem families informed and connected. A born-and-raised California girl, she moved to New York 12 years ago and now calls Port Washington home. Megan is a mom to twin first-grade boys—Sam, who attends Salem, and Ben, who has autism and attends the district’s TLC program. She began her career in public relations before transitioning into the SaaS industry, where she now leads Customer Success Operations at Federato. When she isn't working, volunteering, or keeping up with twins, you can find her enjoying summer days at the beach and spending time with family in Huntington Bay.
